About Janice Brice, Certified Trichologist

Janice Brice is the founder of Purely Hair Trichology. She has spent 25 years in the hair industry as a Master Stylist and Color Specialist, and a Salon Owner. Her personal journey in hair loss began after many years behind the chair. She suffered from hair loss due to exposure to chemicals from the hair color. She wanted to understand why this was happening and how to recover her hair.

She decided to return to academics and enrolled as a Hair Loss Practitioner and furthered her studies and continued to become a Certified Trichologist.

Janice is educated in the biological systems that can affect your hair density and scalp health, such as the digestive system, cardiovascular, immune and hormonal systems. This holistic approach is used during her in-depth consultations. During the consultation, she offers a microscopic scalp examination to identify the causes and types of hair loss and can recommend a specific Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis that can get to the root of the problem. She can also read your specific blood work in a holistic manner, pertaining to hair loss.

She has developed a program called Back to Basics that teaches you good scalp care and how to select the correct brush and how often and how to clean your brush. This program can provide insight to essential hair care to help nurture a healthy scalp. The program also discusses how often you wash your hair because oftentimes when people are experiencing hair loss, the instinct is to brush less and also shampoo less often because they feel that more hair will come out. Helping her clients address these issues around lifestyle, medications and diet is also part of the program.
